Squamish Paralympic Torch Relay Community Celebration
Tourism British Columbia Field reporter Ivan Hughes' story of the Paralympic torch relay that came through Squamish, BC on Sunday, March 7 bringing with it stories of inspiration, determination and resolve. The flame was lit by members of the Squamish Nation and then brought by canoe across the water to the downtown celebration. The Paralympic torch was ignited and then brought through the streets by individuals each having a personal story of overcoming obstacles and finding inspiration.

Spectator Tickets
Tickets for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are now on sale through official auction and the Fan-to-fan Marketplace at Vancouver2010.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person in Whistler at the Main Ticket Centre (Whistler Medals Plaza) and in Vancouver at Robson Square for most events.

Transportation to Squamish
Getting to Squamish is simpler than ever with the recent completion of the Sea to Sky Highway improvement project.

Public parking is available in the Squamish Adventure Centre lot at a cost of $10/day.
