upper shannon falls trail

If you think the chief trail is amazing and a challenge then anyone into a good hike with more amzing views the the chief has! do the upper shannon falls trail. You start out doining half of the chief trail but once you get to where it splits off to the 1st and second peak there is a sign that says squaw trail and upper shannon falls trail this is an amazing hike its quite a bit harder then the chief in some spots not the whole way though, this trail brings you above the famouse shannon falls and also at its highest lookouts you can look over to the first and second peaks of the chief, this trail also has some very amazing waterfalls and places to stop along the falls to rest and replenish. It's a must do for the summer time or fall, it also leads to other lakes farther up

its approx.3 hrs

It's all about the chief

I've had some epic hikes up the chief this spring and summer. Awesome that it only takes an hour or so up. We've been bring picnic dinners and bevies when guests from our of town are here.

Chief Hike

I just wanted to let everyone reading this know the Chief Hike is a must!!! Its almost unreal how well set up it is. A nice parking lot at the base, just south of town. A challenging 1-1.5 hour hike to the top, and wham, the views of Squamish and Howe Sound are incredible. Not everywhere can you access such a huge rock wall that easily.
